Update 2017: Chinese Rescuer Battles On With Help From Her Friends.

SAD TIMES 2015

This is a broadcast by kankanews.com, June 2015, about Yang XiaoYun (杨晓芸) known in the west as ‘Mrs Yang’. The documentary closely follows Mrs Yang from her hometown in Tianjin, China, to ‘Yulin 2015’. It exposes the ghastly conditions of the derelict apartment complex premises where Mrs Yang and her tragic rescues were driven to find shelter in Tianjin at that time.

Mrs Yang, contrary to accusations that she contrived to keep housing of her rescues secret from the public, allowed the film crew, before her journey to ‘Yulin 2015’, into the most squalid parts of that hellish sanctuary (including the room where she slept). The documentary follows her to her bank, films the printout of the amount in her bank account before she drew in cash money to fly to Yulin, and then follows her buying dogs at Yulin 2015.

Mrs Yang and her pitiful rescues were still struggling to survive in the same premises filmed in this documentary, when finally visited in late August 2015 (and publicly denounced) by two trustees, Julia de Cadenet and Robert Donkers, of the (cash bloated from donors for Mrs Yang) UK charity ‘WORLD PROTECTION FOR DOGS AND CATS IN THE MEAT TRADE’ (WPDCMT) AKA ‘No To Dog Meat’ (NTDM).

The trustees of the UK charity  decided that Mrs Yang’s rescued animals didn’t deserve the money given for them. They turned their arrogant backs, kept the donated money for ‘other purposes’, and abandoned Mrs Yang and her animals to their sad fate.

BANK

56K Yuan approx: £5,600GBP $8,500USD. That is what she had in the bank before flying to Yulin. Certainly no record of the $20kUSD the UK charity say they sent her to buy dogs at Yulin?

Since 2015 Mrs Yang made several attempts to find alternative premises until she finally found a ‘place to call home’. Compassionate friends, in China, Japan and in the west rallied to help her as she battled against not only physical and financial hardship, but against a campaign of defamation promoted by the UK charity and Peter J. Li, China policy adviser with Humane Society International. Mr Li has long been convinced that Mrs Yang has received many hundreds of thousands of dollars after a photo of her at Yulin in 2014 went viral. Even when presented with a printout, absolutely contradicting his stance, of the one and only bank account (to receive donations) published anywhere in the world, Mr Li and his friends refused to desist in attempts to defame and to harass.

PETER LI SNIPER BULLET

In July 2017, Mr Li allowed a disgraceful meme on his FB page for 4 days, only admitting to noticing it, in spite of an outcry of protest, when the author had removed the offensive sound effect of the sniper bullet fired into the forehead of Mrs Yang as the sights of the rifle lined up on its target.

SPRING 2018

Still a long road ahead for the valiant Mrs Yang, able these days to offer little more than love and basic care for her furbabies, she badly needs help to continue her work.

Friends of Yang “are looking for volunteers to help in Madam Yang’s shelter in the New Year. We are especially looking for vets and general builders. However you do not have to have any special skills to volunteer. Just a love of cats and dogs and willing to be hands on and work with the animals, whether it be assisting a vet, helping the builders or “poop a-scooping”. We are also looking for donations of air miles to help towards the volunteers air fares. Please private message this page if you can help with any of the above. We look forward to hearing from you.

Only 186 signatures needed to reach 12000, to ask for an investigation: In 2015 a UK registered charity used Mrs Yang’s identity, images, persona and international reputation as a rescuer of dogs from the Yulin dog meat festival (held in China on the summer solstice), to call specifically for donations for her and her shelter. To date that charity has refused to release more than 10% of the £100K+ donated. To support a petition (currently with 11814 supporters) asking for an investigation into what happened to the missing £90k+ of donors money that was given to help Mrs Yang help her cats and dogs please click this link:  INVESTIGATE the UK registered charity #1154524 known as ‘No To Dog Meat’ (NTDM aka WPDCMT)
